Walk your dog around on his leash

Then stop and say in a clear voice heel

If he stops praise him

If he does not gently pull him back to your side don’t jerk him back just pull him

Reward him or praise him when he sits by your side

Put your dog collar and leash on your dog.

Stand with him so that he is on your left side.

Find a treat that he likes and hold it in your hand he may jump up at you at first because you have the treat but he will soon get used to it being in your hand.

Start to walk with your dog on his leash start off with your left foot.

When he starts to pull stand still and pull the leash back towards you and say heel remember no jerking but gentle movements.

Wait until he stops then praise him and give him a treat.

Eventually he will learn the correct behavior to gain the treat and will start to walk by your side.
